Welcome to The Registry

The National Registry of Diverse & Strategic Faculty is a service designed to help connect current and prospective faculty members from underrepresented groups with institutions of higher education seeking to hire qualified candidates for open faculty positions. At no charge, candidates may enter their name and relevant information into the database and then search for available jobs posted by our subscribing institutions. Further, once registered, candidates can receive e-mails when faculty positions in fields identified by the candidate are posted by our subscribing institutions.

Likewise, for an annual subscription fee, institutions and their designated personnel have access to search The REGISTRY database for qualified candidates and to post open faculty positions. When new candidates register and indicate an interest or expertise in an area identified by a subscribing institution, the institution will receive an e-mail notifying it of the new candidate registration. New features will also allow a subscribing institution to track the level of activity on its job postings and keep track of the number of jobs posted by the institution. Additionally, at least twice a year, subscribing institutions will be highlighted on the REGISTRY homepage as our “Featured Institution”.

New for ’11 – ‘12

The following new features have been added to the website to improve our service to Institutions and Candidates alike:

  • Institutions and Candidates can select their own username and password;
  • Institutions can now pay their subscription fee by credit card online;
  • There will be a direct link to Subscribing Institutions’ websites from our list of Subscribing Institutions;
  • Subscribing Institutions can provide more information on themselves and their campuses so that Candidates and visitors to the website can familiarize themselves with our subscribers;
  • Individual Subscribing Institutions will be featured on our homepage at least twice a year as our “Featured Institution”;
  • Subscribing Institutions can automatically notify candidates when a job is posted in their selected field;
  • Subscribing Institutions will automatically be notified when a Candidate uploads information indicating an interest or expertise in a field in which the Institution has posted a job opening;
  • Subscribing Institutions will be provided with cumulative information on the jobs posted, as well as information on how often those jobs have been accessed/viewed by Candidates;
  • Candidates will provide more information on themselves and their experience/background; and
  • Candidates can upload their resumes/CVs and cover letters onto the database.

NOTE: Texas Tech University wishes to acknowledge and express its gratitude to Southwestern University for the founding of this important service and the many years of fostering the service and providing valuable services to the subscribing institutions and registered faculty candidates through the year 2010.

What they are saying about The Registry...

" I am very pleased to actually have this opportunity to let you know how instrumental your website has been to my career search over the past year. Your website is both user friendly and easily accessible. "

" I prefer posting at The Registry because it doesn’t overwhelm you with unnecessary questions about things that have nothing to do with the position as most of the other sites tend to do. The site is simple, direct, and functional with a clean non-cluttered design. "

- Linda Olson, UT Arlington , Equal Opportunity Services
